Together with one other cottage, they enjoy shared use of an outdoor swimming pool, hard tennis court and a walled orchard garden. Walkers will enjoy the local footpaths including the ‘Minster Way’ and ‘Wolds Way’ and dogs are allowed to exercise on designated farm fields. The duck pond opposite the cottages supports a variety of wild life and the surrounding area is home to a wealth of scenic and historic places of interest. The great houses of Sledmere and Burton Agnes are both within 10 miles as is the watersports centre at Brandesburton. Castle Howard, the magnificent setting for TV’s Brideshead Revisited and Goathland the setting for the TV series Heartbeat are within 1 hour’s drive. The Deep, in Hull, Eden Camp, Flamingo Land, Pickering with the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, Bridlington’s sandy bay, RSPB Bempton Cliffs and the historic city of York with excellent shopping, medieval architecture, railway museum and the fascinating Jorvik Museum are all about 20 miles. Touring the unspoilt Yorkshire Wolds by car is a pleasure in itself. Golf 7 miles. Shop 3 miles. Pub within walking distance.

Reviews
The locals were very friendly and welcoming, especialy in the "Star Inn" just across the road. The location was quiet and peaceful, but the coast and inland attractions were all within easy reach, and even the dog was made welcome.

A lovely home from from home, very well equipped cottage with the owner on hand to offer helpful advice, a good standard of accommodation. The children loved the swimming pool and tennis court, a great spacious cottage, and definitely dog friendly.
